I may or may not be the first to admit that I was not completely thrilled when I first picked up this book.
I'm not big into swearing and this book is FILLED with it (so that being said, I wouldn't recommend it for young ears/eyes)
But... now that I have gotten into the book, I can look past it and see why she used the verbage that she did.  I won't say that I appreciate it, but I would not put the book down for it either.

More updates as the days go on :)

I did receive this book for review purposes, but am Not receiving compensation for my opinions, thoughts, multiple updates, etc.  All thoughts are 100% my own.

I have mixed feelings about this book.
It is great in the way that it jumps back and forth to give you more details, but at times it is confusing because you think you know a character and you have to change your thoughts once you start reading the next chapter.
Maybe this is what kept me reading when I got to a slow part.

I do feel that I know the characters and that I can in some way relate to each one of them.
Most of my questions were answered, but as with most books there are a few that I would like to have more details on.

All in all I enjoyed reading the book and was happy with the ending.
I would recommend reading this, but if I read it again I would want the pronounacation sheet in front of me instead of in the front of the book.

I received this book to review and received no compensation for my review.  my opinions are 100% mine.

"The Happiest Baby Guide to Great Sleep"  by Harvey Karp, M.D.
You probably know him from the The Happiest Baby on the Block!
I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!

Now - to be completely fair, I have to admit I was not a reader of "how to" books when I had my son - I was a fight it tooth and nail type of person, but.....  I have officially changed my mind and will reccommend this book to Anyone who questions - How are you getting your kids to bed, How are you getting them to sleep through the night, etc, etc, etc

You may ask - If you were soo set on not reading "How to" books, why start now???  Your kids are 2 & 4??  Well - it's simple. When your asked if you would like to review a book that might help your kids sleep through the night, I'm not going to turn it down.  Oh & when I see "NO-CRY" I'm sold to at Least read the book and give my thoughts.

I did have a hard time putting the book down and have learned many things that have already helped both during the day and  at night.  We have not completely mastered the sleeping through the night thing yet, but we are down to foot stamping and one or two bouts of yelling during the day - so I'll say it's an improvement.

Next up for this book??  Put it into my husband's hands so he can read what I'm talking about.

It's scheduled to be on sale May 15th, following are some links to get you more information :)

(I did received this book from the one2one Network to review & have no trecived compensation.  All opinions are My own.  My participation in this campaign enteres me into a drawing for a gift card).

I have started a new book called The Lullaby of Polish Girls.

So far it is interesting, and a fairly quick read.
My downfall: I want to pronounce things correctly and in the beginning of the book it tells you how pronounce vowels and consonants so I continually look to make sure I am reading it correctly.
I'm however very happy this was done, because as I said I like to pronounce things correctly.
I'm three chapters in, so I will update you as I go :)

I am not receiving compensation for my review of this book.  All opinions are my own and a final review of the book will be done when I am have read the book in it's entirety & will at that time receive no compensation either.a

I have finished the book and am pleased and somewhat displeased all at the same time.
Mostly pleased though - I would recommend reading it and deciding for yourself what you think.

Now onto some more specifics from ME:
The entire book was kind of open ended - allowing for the reader to use their "imagination" to fill in the details.  This is GOOD since the subject IS dark and difficult.
It was well written and easy to read in the way that most of it flowed smoothly and made you want to continue to read and find out what will happen.
My favorite character was the uncle - he said some pretty cool stuff along with things that could be used in real life.
The mom and dad could fit many situations - and show the outcome of one path of decisions.
The sister is Really strong & I personally foresee her going far in life.
The main character Caleb was put into a difficult situation at an early age and throughout the book shows that he is a strong individual who I believe will make it.

I feel I have drawn conclusions to many of the questions, but I do not know how to do a spoiler block - so I will not go into those type of details.

I will however tell you I appreciate that I was given the opportunity to read this book, and that I have received no compensation from the author or the publisher for my comments on this book.

I enjoy reading and have been receiving books for review.
I hope you enjoy the tidbits I give you :)

There is nothing like knowing that you are almost done with a book, wanting to finish it because you have no idea how it's going to end and then knowing that it is soon going to be over.

That's where I'm at right now.  Knowing that I only have about 40 pages left and biting my fingernails wondering what is going to happen.....  Are they going to find him?  Is everything going to turn out ok???  Is he going to remain dark haired or go back to being blond (You didn't think I was going to give specifics away did you??  I can't spoil it for you - It's due to be released in April!)  What are mom?  What about dad?  Ahhh!!!  His friend!  The Girl!

Soon - I should know -

What do I think???  4 stars :)

The Lullaby of Polish Girls by Dagmara Dominczyk

I have about 100 pages left of the book and have some mixed feeling about the book.
It is well written and for the most part fast paced (which is what I enjoy).
It is however on a dark subject with a sort of open ended writing style.  As of this time there are many things that are left up to your imagination (or possibly even what you are willing or want to read into it).
Even with the subject matter being dark, I am looking forward to finishing the book to see how the lives of the characters play out.

I received this book from the publisher through Goodreads - all thoughts are my own and I am not being compensated except receiving the book at no cost to me.
